Which of course, means the Fall Meet at Keeneland. I feel like I just posted on this yesterday but I guess that was last year! This year has flown by to say the least. The weather was very "fall-like" this year...I had to continually drink hot apple cider just to stay warm but no complaints there!

We also had a final cookout before the weather got too cold...the guys, of course, played poker on the porch

Last weekend Nate and I hiked in Clark Memorial Forest in Indiana. After the hike we climbed the fire tower...not for the faint of heart!
But the view from the top was great....That's Louisville, over 20 miles away in the distance. The trees are changing here, we've already had a few fires in the fireplace and I think fall has officially arrived!

I'm trying to get better about commenting b/c I always have so many thoughts to share when I read yours and others blogs. So, here goes and an update.
1. Your birthday card was the sweetest. I echo the "I miss..." response except your name instead of mine. I won't forget that and how much your friendship has, does, and will mean to me. Dear God, may Alison and I live nearer each other?...I know a lot would have to happen in order for that to be answered but I won't put it past you. love, a
2. I love your brown jacket and I want one. I have to admit that I actually sought one out at Forever21 when I was spending b-day $ there last weekend and the best I could do was a gray one. I love the vintage, warm, Fall look it. Cross your fingers that I can find something just as fun and not be considered a copy cat.
3. Last, I am such a scaredy cat when it comes to firetowers...I indeed have a fear of those and I am faint at heart (and physically) when I get near those and a 1/3 of the way up them. Way to go. Thanks for letting me cheat and see your view.
