Laura and Josh got hitched!

What a weekend! We started with the rehearsal dinner at the Louisville Boat Club where we got to catch up with lots of out of town family. Here's Laura, me, our cousin Dana and Erin. Dana was like a 4th sister to us growing up because we'd always vacation with their family in Ocean City, Maryland where our grandparents had a condo. Now I feel like we hardly ever get to see each other, being a good 12 hours apart, so it was fun to catch up.
My dad, laughing at my cousin Kelly with his gin and tonic and white linen suit...how very Great Gatsby of him!
Erin, Dana and Laura...
My dad, giving the sweetest toast at the dinner. This was the follow up to Josh's grandfather who stood up and said, "Marriage is more than 4 legs between the sheets" for his toast, followed by an awkward moment of silence:) I love it!
All the bridesmaids at the rehearsal dinner

Finally the wedding day...Laura getting her makeup done...I told them to act excited for the picture which they clearly did!
A cute picture of everyone helping to tie ribbons/zip up dresses
The beautiful bride and groom

The only shot Nate could get holding the camera up in the air of the cake cutting...kind of crowded inside the house!
First dance...
And dancing with my dad
The garter shot...
...which Kelly caught...and looks a little scared:) He kept saying, "I don't think I'm quite ready to get married!"
Erin, Dana and me under the tent trying to stay dry. Basically it rained the ENTIRE day of Laura's wedding, so the rose garden ceremony was out. We all improvised and moved it to the porch instead which turned out to be perfect. I will say though, it was kind of like a scene from a crazy wedding movie with people running everywhere, hanging lights, putting up tables in new places, drying chairs off, and generally trying to pull it all together. However, it all turned out beautifully!

My dad with all his sisters. This explains why he was so prepared to raise 3 daughters and why he has welcomed Mark, Nate and Josh with open arms...he's probably just glad not to be outnumbered anymore!
And one final shot of all the women on my dad's side of the family.

I really can't believe we did another wedding so soon after Erin's and my mom may have a nervous breakdown in the near future but she pulled it off so well! She and a couple of her friends, once again, did all the flowers (like they did for Erin's and my weddings) and all the decorating, which is a ton of work! Laura got married in a historic old house so there was lots to decorate, that's for sure! Since it rained, we ended up having the ceremony on the porch, as I mentioned before and it turned out really well with the rain on the rooftop and all. So in the end, everything worked out, despite the weather. And now my parents can breathe a sigh of relief that the weddings in our family have come to an end!
